I have been experiencing a revolution in my mind for a while now. It is not directly related to pursuing post-graduate training abroad. I feel its effects almost every single day, even when I was in my hometown. One significant aspect of this change is my evolving perspective on life.
There was a time when I believed that education was the most important thing in the world. I thought it was the miraculous solution to every challenge. If individuals were well-educated, the world would be happier. However, I have come to realize that this belief was misguided. Education is not the most crucial factor for societies. I now believe that justice is more important than education.
I don’t need to provide specific examples to support this strong view. Just take a look at the problems we face today. You will see that the underlying issue is often a lack of justice, ranging from the collapse of societies to the need for independent, unbiased education systems that can nurture powerful individuals.
In places where there is no justice, people seek it in their own ways. Furthermore, I firmly believe that justice is so essential that it should not be left solely to judicial institutions. Every department and institution must establish justice to instill confidence in individuals. I mean a collective power of justice or the rule of law, not only within judicial institutions but in every aspect of society.
To reiterate my claim: justice is more important than education for a healthy world.
