I keep receiving invitations to review papers for the same international journal.

I still remember spending 6 dedicated hours thoroughly reviewing a manuscript for them, only to reject what was a terrible, so-called scientific paper.

Since then, they’ve sent me invitation after invitation. I finally told them that my time is valuable. It seems their primary goal isn't just finding available reviewers, but rather finding someone willing to do the heavy lifting of filtering out suboptimal papers.

Honestly, their current approach feels like a waste of everyone's effort. 🙂
